    I think the reason why games are released before they're ready is that there is the possibility of fixing it after release. You can't do a patch for movies or books, once it's out there, it's just not an option. So I'd imagine that when studios are under pressure to release a game, they have to weigh the backlash they'll face for the bugs in the games against the backlash they'll get for pushing back the release date. Obviously with Andromeda they made the wrong choice. It did make for hilarious youtube videos though.
